PRACTICAL CHINA SOURCING
China sourcing agent fees: what does TruNexo charge?
The short answer
TruNexo offers a free project fit check. Supplier research costs US$100 per confirmed product brief. Managed sourcing uses progressive rates of 8%, 5% and 3% on different portions of net goods value, with a US$150 minimum per order. These are TruNexo's public launch guides, not a market-wide price estimate.
What is free, and when does supplier research begin?
The free check reviews fit, feasibility, destination and possible next scope. It does not include supplier names, a shortlist, negotiation or a sourcing report. Paid work needs an accepted written scope and project quotation; sending an inquiry does not start it. The launch offer is limited to the first 10 qualified B2B projects and remains subject to actual capacity.
What does the US$100 research fee cover?
One confirmed SKU or a closely related product family, up to three candidates, one clarification round and one rule-based replacement. A different product or an expanded search needs a new agreed scope. The fee is fully credited toward managed sourcing for the same confirmed brief if an order is placed within 60 calendar days after the research report.
How is the managed sourcing fee calculated?
Apply each percentage only to the part of net goods value in that band. Do not apply the lowest rate to the whole order. The minimum service fee is US$150 per order; orders below US$1,000 are reviewed case by case.
| Portion of net goods value | Rate |
|---|---|
| First US$3,000 | 8% |
| Portion above US$3,000 up to US$20,000 | 5% |
| Portion above US$20,000 | 3% |
Example: a US$25,000 goods order
US$3,000 × 8% = US$240. The next US$17,000 × 5% = US$850. The remaining US$5,000 × 3% = US$150. Total managed sourcing fee: US$1,240, before any applicable research credit or separately agreed costs. This is an illustrative calculation, not a customer order or project quotation.
Which costs should you compare separately?
Under the standard payment model, the buyer pays the goods seller's verified official business account directly. TruNexo's service fee is separate. The website does not collect payment.
- Goods price from the disclosed supplier or export entity.
- TruNexo's agreed service fee and the exact work included.
- Freight, duties, taxes, testing, certification, tooling, samples and travel, unless expressly included in the accepted scope.
Is this suitable for a small order?
Start with the product, quantity, destination and budget. Separate your goods budget from your total project budget. The US$150 minimum can be material on a small order, and orders below US$1,000 are not automatically accepted. The free check can clarify whether a defined next step is practical.
Common questions
Is the 3% rate charged on the whole order?
No. It applies only to the portion above US$20,000. The earlier portions use 8% and 5%, and the minimum managed sourcing fee is US$150 per order.
Do I pay TruNexo for the goods?
Normally the buyer pays the disclosed supplier or export entity directly to its verified official business account. TruNexo's fee is charged separately; any different route must be expressly defined in an accepted written scope before payment.
Does a free fit check include a supplier list?
No. Supplier names, shortlists, negotiation and sourcing reports are outside the free fit check.
